Boy Scout Summer Camp

2009 Camp Coker Summer Camp

The reasons for attending summer camp are clear for those who have the experience, either as a youth or as a leader. Below are a few reasons why you should have every member of your Troop attend Camp Coker this summer.

The program and activities at our camp can not be beat. Our camp provides a wide variety of programs, that many boys can not experience in any other setting. Our program is designed to meet the needs and desires of your Troop.

Outing is 75% of Scouting. The Outdoor program is one of the best methods used in Scouting and a week at Summer Camp can create that highlight experience your boys need to top off a terrific year of Scouting. No young man has ever forgotten the memories he built while at Camp Coker.

Boys who attend summer camp advance at a much faster pace. The summer camp atmosphere is geared for focused work on advancements, merit badges, and other awards that most boys can not get anywhere else. Our enthusiastic, well-trained staff makes their experience even better.

We know no two Scout Troops are alike, so each Troop attending Camp Coker has the opportunity to build a custom program to meet the specific needs of your Troop and its members. We want to ensure that your Troop has an enjoyable, memorable Summer Camp Experience.

Camp is really about having FUN! Scouts enjoy activities like rifle shooting and archery, canoeing and swimming, woodcarving; campfires, camp songs, camp gadgets, the Trading Post and much more. We hope to see you there in 2009!
